About Me
Robert Ufberg is a founder and the managing partner of Ufberg & Associates LLP, exclusively counseling and representing employers in various industries in their labor and employment issues since 1975. Representative industries include media (newspaper, radio), health care, human and social services, manufacturing, construction, education, municipal, and transportation. Bob concentrates on assisting employers with workforce planning and strategies, negotiation and administration of labor contracts, and other labor law issues in both private and public sectors. He litigates labor cases before state and federal courts, labor boards, labor arbitrators and administrative agencies.
Bob was born and raised in Shenandoah, PA. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the Pennsylvania bar as well as various county bars and state and federal trial and appellate courts, and frequently lectures on labor and employment topics to lawyers, human resources professionals, trade associations, and on behalf of organizations such as the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA), American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association (PNPA) [now the PNA] and the National Academy of Arbitrators (NAA).
Bob is a former board member of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, and was appointed by Governor Tom Wolf as a member of the Northeast Regional Judicial Advisory Commission in 2016.
